Hi there, I'm trying out parameters both on Pro Deo and Rebel 12 to see if there is difference in practical behaviour, in favour of one or the other. Now i wonder from which engine version MISC_66 can be used. From R12.00.02 as delivered of course, but also in R12.00.01 (in order to work under XP)? BTW my favourite enhancement until now is the use of a selectivity of 80 and the pruning of bad moves set at 2, although already seen in R12 beta 4. Stuff of tactical nature is seen earlier, though the ply level (logically) is lower due to slow-down of the engine. In some endgames the engine seems to hang or freeze quite a bit when using this combination, but i think the combination at an average improves both PD 1.1 and R12.00.01. I will look for a way to diminish the freezing stuff. Thanks in advance for answers. Kind regards, Kaj
