The coin toss for the White pieces went to the RR The Res technically has two different Ruffian programs.. A Ruffian 2.1 and a Ruffian 2.1(X) the only difference being that the (X) has a different layout of the display of the game information i personally prefer the display sequences in the X version so i played with this one In the Game both Engines achieved ply counts of 8-10 in the middle game both Engines were out of book at move 11 its fairly obvious that the Resurrection's book is only 10 moves deep in any line the game features a nice Knight sac and a mate announcement in 6 GAME 1...Res-Fruit 05 WINS [Date "2005.11.4"] [Round "1"] [White "RES -RUFFIAN 2.1"] [Black "RES -FRUIT 05"] [TimeControl "Game 60 MIN.-"] [Result "0-1"] 1.d4 d5 2.Nf3 Nf6 3.c4 c6 4.e3 a6 5.Nc3 b5 6.cxd5 cxd5 7.Bd2 e6 8.Ne5 Be7 9.Be2 O-O 10.O-O Bb7 11.Nd3 Nc6 12.Rc1 Rc8 13.Nc5 Bxc5 14.dxc5 Ne5 15.b4 d4 16.exd4 Qxd4 17.a3 Qh4 18.a4 bxa4 19.Qxa4 Rfd8 20.Be3 Neg4 21.Bxg4 Nxg4 22.Bf4 Rd3 23.Qc2 Rd4 24.Bg3 Qh6 25.Qb1 The RR here thinks its position is slightly better(+.13) until the RF unleashes [D] 2r3k1/1b3ppp/p3p2q/2P5/1P1r4/2N3B1/5PPn/1QR2RK1 w - - 0 26 ..25 Nxh2 !!
