Hi Wilhelm! Thanks for your answer. It's very interesting. If I understood the last part of your mail correct then an Engine (not a Deep-Version) won't calculate more positions per second if you are having an Enginematch testing Pondern OFF (where the Engine have the full capacity of the CPU) compared to a Match where you are testing with Pondern ON. That means that the number of positions calculated per second is the same wheater you are testing Pondern ON or OFF? The only difference is that when you are testing with Pondern ON then the opponent engine can benefit from this if the opponent plays the expected move. Is this correct? Best regards Per
