Jim,

Of course as with any data regarding chess the more the better it becomes. As
for match size I think simply more variety of opponents will produce more
reliable results than say 5 matches of 50 games.

But playing 40'/40+40'/40+40'games produces only something like 300 games per
month. So obviously time and resources are always a factor.
