So you would like Arena to support the part of the UCI protocol that informs the
engine that a FRC game is about to take place.

Supporting Shredder FEN is an entirely different thing because of issues with
certain positions.

Somehow there has to be a compromise. I know that Thomas Mayer has a few ideas
but I also know that X-FEN works.

Do you have any good/better ideas as to how compatibility with existing software
can be maintained whilst encompassing Chess960 inside a classic fen?

In fact I feel so badly about it, that I am going to get on a plane right now
and sort it out for you.

So tell me what you want, i'll go and see if it can be achieved. Sound OK?
