I set up 5 men endgame situations and then run Shredder 9 and Fritz 8 Bilbao thru both. I am using 3,4 and 5 man tablebases. In each analysis line Shredder will say TB=548, TB=118 and TB=362 Then i run Bilbao through the exact analysis. In each of his analysis lines he will say TB=16, TB=18 and TB=124 . Look at the difference in the numbers in each one and please tell me the significance of the vast difference. Does it mean that Shredder is getting better access to the bases, therefore having a theoretical advantage. Or does it mean that Bilbao has more built in endgame knowledge and doesnt need that much. Or am i way off in my thinking, and it has no significance whatever. Please help with this answer. Driving me crazy, and I dont have far to go. Thanks in advance, George
