That one translates very well to English. How about this one, I do not know if
it makes any sense in English:
Man's life is long and hard; but the elephant's is longer and harder.

And now you have it in Spanish (I wonder what the automatic translators make of
this one):
La vida del hombre es larga y dura; pero más larga y más dura, es la del
elefante.
