Yes, I am a Lisper, not a programmer. Developing a GUI like Scatha's in another language than Common Lisp would take me 5-10 times longer time. In Linux, I would probably use one of the several available GTK bindings for Steel Bank Common Lisp or CMU Common Lisp. The only completely cross-platform solution for me would be to use Xanalys LispWorks, which includes a very nice portable GUI library (although it doesn't look pretty on Linux, where it uses the Motif toolkit). I would love to use LispWorks, but the price is a problem: LispWorks currently costs 1,100 Euros, which IMO is a bit too much for developing free software. Tord
