Congratulations Matt, sounds like a great opportunity. I'm looking forward to
playing along to see what my chess program comes up with. That is when I buy
one, which leads to a couple of questions.
I'm very new to computer chess. I just got Chess Assistant 2.0 and am still
learning it. I will be adding a chess engine in the near future.
Are all the "Professional" level chess engines (Fritz 5.32, Hiarcs 7, Rebel
10 etc...) capable of being "specially prepared" to improve their analytical
prowess? This could help in decision of which engine.
Are you going to publish, or at least tell us, what you did to "specially
prepare" Hiarcs 7 (after the match)? Or is that like asking for a secret recipe
from a five star restaurant. Like I said before, I'm very new to computer chess
so if I breached computer chess etiquette just now, then I apologize.
   Thanks,
     Richard
