You can also set some jvm parameters relating to the heap size: http://www.caucho.com/resin-3.0/performance/jvm-tuning.xtp I've run into problems where I needed to increase the max heap size because I had some very large data structure. But if you happen to know the max amount of memory your program would need at any time, maybe you could limit it to that? Michael P.S. If you find a good solution, please post it since I'd be interested (and maybe others too).
