Ed is pretty much right on in his advice, as usual, as this is his expertise. I
will merely add what one of the top tech reps for chessbase in Germany told me
after consluting with the programmers of Junior, Fritz, Shredder. Its not a
perfect world but he asked them to give him a unified setting for what i was
looking for. The following was their answer:(theirs, not mine) For a five minute
game- 32mb hash   For 40/20 minutes and 40/40 minutes, both repeating- 128mb
hash  for anything longer, obviously 256mb or higher. But I didnt go there,
because 40/40 is the longest that interest me. Hope this is of some help.
