Hi Graham, Yes it can be done, I've been running two tourneys now for about 2 weeks without a stop. First let's take any ChessProgram 8 CB program. Hiarcs 9, Shredder 8, Junior 9 etc. Install and let it install to say using Shredder 8 C:\Program Files\Chessbase\Shredder8 then install it's datanase path the next screen to default typically ...owners documents\chessbase Then install a program from the ChessProgram 7 group, this may work with another from the 8 series never tried it. Let's say Hiarcs 8. Install to C:\Program Files\Chessbase\Hiarcs8 this time on the next screen database path install to something different from default. Say C:\Progam Files\Chessbase\Program 7. This setup causes two versions of the folder/directory "CompBase" which is where the programs store their eng matches, auto saves and tournament matches. When you start the first program in this case Shredder 8 and open a tournament the tournament will be stored in ...owners documents\chessbase\compbase. Then start the second this case Hiacrs 8. Open a tournament and this time it will save the games into C:\Progam Files\Chessbase\Program 7\compbase. That's about it excepting making sure you copy a good UCI.dll into both as those earlier versions are a little prone to bugs. Sarah.
