While collecting the old computers is for the most part great fun(IMO) it can at times be a lonesome pursuit the reason for this is painfully obvious sooner or later a computer will be available for sale(either on Ebay or privately) that other fellow collectors will also want normally ,if possible, i will "step aside" for a collector that is a friend and if i already have the computer in my collection however there are times(,such as when a very rare computer is being offered) that this is simply not possible then the collector must go his own way..and bid against all others..no matter who is in his way close relative or stranger..friend or bitter rival..makes little difference in these cases sometimes feelings can be hurt and sometimes friendships shattered i have seen collectors who were quite friendly with each other before bid against each other like wild rabid dogs over a rare computer if both collectors can get over it..then i think the friendship between them grows even stronger until the next rare computer comes along yes,to obtain a collection of the first rank..is a lonely pursuit Sobering Regards Steve
