Thanks, Steve! I have a friend who refers to this problem as CRS! Can't
Remember...well, that's just it. :)

No, actually, I just expected Renaissance was the follow-on model to the
Resurrection. It does seem to naturally follow...sort of...doesn't it? Really, I
can't believe I made that mistake. And repeatedly, too! Oh boy.

I think this difference in focus is merely a reflection that we are in a
different stage of collecting, Steve. I still have many computers to buy, and a
limited budget of course, so for now I'm still trying to get some of those
elusive stronger models. Maybe once I make some progress there my focus will
shift.

As for myself, my favorite opponent is my Mephisto Polgar. I've previously
praised Ed Schroeder for this excellent model, which plays a great and (IMO)
very human game. It's not so strong tactically that I can't keep up with it, and
yet it generally doesn't go in for the pawn grabbing materialism that many
weaker programs are known for. It is a wonderful program for that plays a
well-balanced game and even after 15 years, it's still my favorite.

Kind regards,

Chuck
