Hi Marc
Some interesting comments indeed, but ...
we should not forget: it's only a tournament
with some games and in such events almost
everything can happen. In my Nunn2 40'/40
test I have seen Fruit 2.2.1 starting with
2,0-8,0 vs Fritz 9 but to continue the next
10 games with 7,0-3,0 whilst in our Fruit
2.2.1 test it was Fruit 2.2.1 to start
with 8,0-2,0 vs Fritz 9 just to get the
result of "only" 26,5-23,5 in favour of
Fruit after 50 games. And as already stated
on an earlier occasion, in such important
public events like Dutch open, there is more
a testing of goodness of books than strength
of almost equal engines. I don't bother and
am quite sure that independant what will further
happen to Fruit in this tournament, it is still
an absolute top engine -:)

Kurt
