Hi Jouni, Fruit doesn't like the Fritz 8 and Deep Fritz 8 books. When I used my own book in a blitz match Fruit 2.2.1 against Deep Fritz 8, the score was around 75% for Fruit. When both used the Deep Fritz 8 book, the score dropped to 55%. Both matches were 100 games. Of course there is an error margin, but I see that the Deep Fritz book plays a lot of lines that are not very suitable for chess programs (King's Indian for example). So for me it is no surprise that using book.bin gives much better results than using f.e. DF8.ctg. Jeroen >I was really surprised, when testing book bin.
