Thank you, Kurt. The information file to 5moves.ctg says that no manual
alterations were carried out, so I suppose I could generate my own version of a
"5-move" openings book in the same way. I would prefer to use recent games
(Kasparov era) in order to eliminate popular openings of the past which modern
players avoid. And I'd choose a higher Elo, at least 2500 for both players.
Megabase 2005 offers more than 80,000 games that fit this criteria.

Does anyone have a suitable manually tuned openings book?
