I took a shortcut and started analyzing at 34 and now look like a fool I guess.
My first reaction to 26 Bxh6 looks to be right in that it leads to a draw.

29. fxg7 Qf4 30. h6 Nxh6 31. Qh3 Ne3 32. Rdg1 Bxe4 33. Bxe4 Bg5 34. Bxa8
Rxa8 35. Qh5 f6 36. Qg6 a4 37. Nc5

After the forced queen trade this should be a draw.
