Go up one level in this thread

It is of course the BIG event but I'm not sure of
>its release date, after all it already won Kaufbeuren 2004 !

this was a prototype in 2004

the OFFICIAL RELEASE date was MAY 05

>So what makes you say that 2005 was a pretty good year ?

there are many and i am planning to write a "YEAR IN REVIEW" article to be
posted here before the year is out, but i think the most significant event is
the noticeable increase in collectors worldwide

there are several reasons for this of course ,which i will offer my opinion on
in the article(for whatever my opinion is worth)

also i think the level of knowledge has risen ..

i can say Alain i get many e-mails from collectors or people interested in
dedicated computers as i am sure you do with your wonderful site

the typical question i would receive not even a year ago would be something
like..
"what is the difference between a CC1 and a CC3"?
clearly indicating a newbie to the hobby
(which is wonderful to begin with)

but now the questions are far more sophisticated ..asking about
progammers,technical specs..etc etc

so i think the number of collectors has increased and the overall level of
knowledge..which i have not seen until this year

Reflecting Regards
Steve

>PS : for ME, 2005 was a good year, to name only my favourites : Rebel V,
>Constellation Forte, Munich Risc 1MB, Designer Mach III, Elite Avant Garde,
>Super Expert C, Roma 68020, Renaissance and 20 years of Europe Echecs

wow!
i of course follow your collection as it grows on yuor site,,but to see it all
in one place is quite impressive
