A goal is of course to bring the average opponent rating inline but that also includes trying to get each and every engine to at least 2000 games. Fritz 9 currently also has only played some 700 odd games and it's average opponent rating needs to be higher while Fruit 2.2.1 needs to be lower. For some testers playing against weaker engines is something they enjoy and it must be remembered that not all testers own all engine versions. Sarah.
