Author: Steve B

Date: 19:15:04 11/19/05

As i mentioned previously on these pages ..a Dutch World Class Collector..Hein
Veldhuis, is nearing completion of his chronology of all dedicated computers
released for sale (including prototypes)

today on the Austrian dedicated chess computer site (www.schachcomputer.at)Hein,
for the first time, answered a question about the release dates of some
computers

here was a part of his reply culled from his research:

10-1981 [2032] SciSys ¡V Sensor Chess ¡§Grey¡¨ (#221/„A/= grijskleurig modulair
sensortafelmodel/8 levels/6 ply take back/Julio Kaplan/6502A/4,25K Rom/256 bytes
Ram/2 MHz) 1300

08-1989 [1313] Saitek ¡V Kasparov Simultano (C) (#310/sensortafelmodel/C =
identiek aan Maestro C/info-LCD/mat-10/whole game take back /65C02/64K Rom/ 8K
Ram/5 MHz) 1800

notice the amazing amount of information for each computer..

month of release
year of release
make and model(including color if released in more then one color)
programmer
technical specs
features
elo rating

can you imagine what this will look like for EVERY computer??

this is a mind boggling acheivement

indeed..today on the site he himself called this "his lifes work"

Totally Awe Struck Regards
Steve
