But it didn't happen, What was the time control ? I once made a "tournament" between a few machines I own and tried to make them play at G/30. As dedicated computers do not always have all imaginable time controls, I had choosen the level closest to this G/30. The Mephisto Modena performed particularly bad in this tournament, even losing against the Sargon 2.5 ! For the last games, I changed its level to 30s/move and it played a lot better ! Since that, I know that a small change in the level selection can make a big difference. Best, Alain
