They were ECO code E15 and E16. Junior played one of them 14 times I think and the other one 5 times (this from memory now). But it won every game. It was obvious that Junior was learning with white and Fritz was not learning with black. So in the 26 chances with the white pieces Junior 5 played those two openings 19 times and won all 19 games. Four of the games were identical to the end of the game. The rest were identical to a point where the game was long ago decided. One complaint I have with Fritz is the database functions have no way to check for duplicate games. So I do a search by Junior with white and a 1-0 score. Then I look for duplicate ECO codes with the same number of moves or very close. That's how I discovered the problem. I told Chessbase and they said they would look into it. That was last week. By the way Fritz 5.32 is also learning with white but did not duplicate Junior's feat. Jim Walker
