Some observations after the first games I have seen to this moment in the game
room.
Fritz played a game with advantage from the beginning and went increasing slowly
until the moment it got the full point in quiet style after an unnecesary agony
by Jalifman.
Hydra got a position which he considered one point advantageous for himself,
but, as Crilly Donniger explained, "it did not understand it well" so his eval.
was going down toward equality, In a moment in the game room was commented that
maybe it would be possible to see a human victory, but after 33. Rxf4 Hydra eval
improved and after mistake in 34. Bg3 his eval jumped up and got victorious some
moves later. Programmer C. Donninger was not performing as operator due to the
fear he had last year when he suffered kind of warning stroke, but nevertheless
looked with some concern the development of the game.
Junior played comfortable and his operator, Amir, took profit of the slow pace
and quietness to connect CCC and read some messages there. Only perturbation
happened when he shed the water of a glass over the electronic gadgetry and
compelled arbiter avid Levy to make urgent use of some drapers to fix the
problem
In the end Pomonariov, who had arrived just the last night at 23 hours, won.
