As are the Star Diamond/Sapphire and the Sapphire II (major difference being hardware)? I've had it in mind but haven't done it yet...I have the Star Diamond and a Sapphire (not Sapphire II), though, and I've wanted to set up some positions and let them both do a fixed depth 5 or 6 ply search on each position just to see how much "program" difference there is. Haven't got to it yet. But it appears they are not identical programs as the Diamond II solves BT2630 test position #3 in 98 seconds but the Star Diamond failed to solve that one.
