The main reason why no one ever came up with a different setting for Fritz is simply because it does not allow you to multiply itself in order to test different approaches. It would be a real pain for someone to test only one setting at a time. If one day Fritz will become an UCI engine I bet you'll at least see attempts to create different settings for it. AY.
