Since he mentioned Pocket Fritz, I presume he is looking into a Pocket PC PDA.
That being the case, the above-mentioned CEBoard (free) with Fruit 2.1 and Toga
II 1.1 is a clear choice, and Pocket Grandmaster as a commercial package. Not to
mention the 4 training programs by Convekta (Pocket CT-Art, Pocket Strategy,
Pocket Encyclopedia of Middlegame, and Pocket Chess Endings), and other
offerings such as Mobile Thinker, as both and engine and a FICS/ICC client.
