This is still terribly gross though: there must be a better solution. I followed your suggestion and copied the dll files to the Windows directory, I say file"s" because after I copied mss32.dll to c:\windows there were several other dll file problems, so I also copied these, I restarted the computer and the computer stated it saw these files and was going to register them and then it rebooted. However, now when I click on the CM6000 icon another window pops up and says ------ Smacker error The Mss32.dll file is incorrectly installed in the Windows directory -------- So now what do I do ?? I sent an email to chessmaster 6000, but I doubt they will return it their customer service is terrible ! Regards,
