Go to
http://www.chessgames.com

On their main page, go to the drop-down menu titled "Year is" and select
"no later than".

Then, in the next box, type in a year such as 1800.

Finally, click on "Find Chess Games!"

This should create a list of 140 games from the year 1475 to 1800. You can
click on a game to play through it.

Be careful about the authenticity of some of these games. For example, it is
generally felt that the games of Greco vs NN are not real games, but rather
demonstrations of traps in the opening.

If you already know the details of an old game, you might find the game at
http://www.chesslab.com/
