Although ur right in that the author does not mention ICC, the author does play at ICC however (u can ask him/her). Considering she posted tc = 3 0 it can be easily presumed that it was played with ponder on otherwise its useless and necessarly doesnt mean anything. (y would u want to test in 3 0 with ponder off?)For ex, Ruffian 1.0.1 killed Fritz 8 in my P4 with those conditions b4(3 0 and ponder off). However when Ruffian was put in ICS with similitude hardware against Fritz with same TC and this time ponder on, Ruffian lost. That is the main reason I always say If u want to test Programs use it on any ICS with ponder on and similar hardware. A slight diff in hardware is not something very serious. Also, if I thought the hardware was unfair I would never make that claim :). btw in a regular 4 min game engines makes more than 40 moves unless ofcourse opp gets mated. I will give u another example. Shredder 9.1 with Athlon XP 2400+(@2.3Ghz) vs Fruit 2.2.1(Atlon Xp 3000+ 2.167Ghz). Shredder Wipes the floor with Fruit even in 5 1 TC. However, in Long Time its quite diff. And plz dont get fooled by the processor speed :).
