By the same logic you can say that ponder on means nothing and if you want to
test you should use ponder off.

I see no reason to say that one test is not important.
one program may have bugs in one of the options.

If Fritz has bugs with ponder off or Ruffian has bugs with ponder on then it is
important information for the authors.
