Subject: Maybe Fritz 9 Blunder had to do with Hardware

Author: Ted Summers

I read here on this forum that other users of Fritz 9 did not have this blunder.
So I gave my copy of Fritz 9 a shot at the game to annotate. My Fritz 9 not only
see's 39. ...Bc2 as a big mistake, but it states that Qxg3 was winning for
black.

Now I wonder if this blunder was not more hardware related. My home system is a
PIV 3Ghz with 1.5 Gig of ram. Which is much strong than the laptop they used. Or
was it a bug it the Fritz "Bilbao" version.

I mean does it really mean any thing if our stronger hardware finds the correct
move? Remember they were not using your PCs which may also be much stronger.
Anyway just wondering.

Thanks
