That's basically what Fruit decided to do, except that Fruit saw a mate in 9
which I would never have recognized myself. The whole point of my post was to
show the difference between engines that use tablebases and those that don't,
how they can come to completely different solutions ("strategies") for an
endgame position. Whether or not these different solutions are better depends on
the context. I never play one minute games myself, but I am sometimes under time
pressure, so I choose an easy game that I feel comfortable with, rather than
look for the solution that needs the least moves.
