I think that the final positions in both games are completely equal. In Khalifman-Hydra, the pawn structure is symmetric, and neither White nor Black can create a passed pawn without exchanging many pawns. There was no reason to continue playing. Perhaps the game Kasimdzanov-Junior could have continued, although I don't agree that White has an advantage, and I think it would be drawn later on. Regards, Christos.
