Shredder 9 has already been covered, by a few candidates for the 2006 number one. Will Shredder 10 get past all that? Just that little bit more, and a chess program will clinch the intended height in chess expertese, this is my opinion. Once it has done that, after a few little but qualitative improvements, then it will be in a different class, to stay. I'm speaking estimatingly, and intuitively, but with clear reasons why, which I did not try to explain right now. Uri Blass has done so, and if what HE is hoping is done, which he says would add about 100 elo, then I think it will be a conclusive achievement. So what will be now? Or, we don't really know anything until things are released? S.Taylor (Oh, is this all a troll?)
