Do you want to be able to type in the move in numeric notation, or do you simply
have files to convert.  If you just want to convert files from e.g. 5254 to e2e4
and then import them into some program which accepts this, I can write a perl
script to do this in about ten minutes.

If you must type in the moves, why not type the complete score into a text file,
then do the conversion and import.
