Hello, In the past month it seems that chess engine strength has risen quite substantially. I primarily base this on testing done on here from Kurt and Graham but also from GM v engine games. Fruit in particular has taken computer chess to a higher level. Higher in shorter amounts of time. Out of curiosity would the worst performing engine on the WBEC ridderkerk list be good enough to beat a GM because if Hiarcs 9.50 on a pda can i don`t see why GM`s shouldn`t be playing lower rated desktop engines. Where is the cutoff ?
