Sadly, not only is the playing surface scratched up if you look closely at the picture of the side of robot, you can see that part of the trim piece has also been broken away. Whoever owned it must of been a sore looser. I checked out the seller's past auctions and the seller, melanie_41469, seems to only sell two things--chess robots and very uncomfortable looking black leather corsets like this one, http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=45928&item=8346723280 Oh boy, after seeing that auction I don't even want to think about what she did to the robot.
