Incorrect!

My words were-
"I did not takeback any of my moves."
Please look at-

and you will see your mistake.

I did not say I did not takeback any of the computer's moves.

I am sure you now understand. :)

I then went on to explicitly mention the takeback of 4. .. g5? which it played
(NOT from book - this was as a result of its evaluation).

You are suspicious I have been generous?? :)

There are no grounds for your suspicion. Here is the position that I forgave
Fruit-

[D]r1bqkb1r/pppppp1p/2n5/3nP1p1/3P1P2/8/PPP3PP/RNBQKBNR w KQkq - 0 5

Here, it having just played 4. .. g5? (see diagram above), I substituted its #2
choice, .. d6. Why it even looks at these, let alone temporarily prefers them,
I do not know. 4. .. e6 is compulsory.

Now we will proceed to your analysis/views.

LOL!

Neither the ghost of Henry Bird nor the reality of Boris V. can justify 4. ..
g5. It is an absolutely appalling move. I don't doubt all computers do not see
it that way, but that matters squat to me.

Enough talk of dead or retired players.

I play 5. N-f3.

What's your move? :)

[D]r1bqkb1r/pppppp1p/2n5/3nP1p1/3P1P2/5N2/PPP3PP/RNBQKB1R b KQkq - 0 5

I suggest 5. .. Black Resigns. :)

To save time, if you want to continue, and choose 5. .. g4 then 6. N-g5; or if
5. .. gxf 6. B-c4. To many other tries I'll just take the pawn, but of course
there are exceptions.

Over to you. Feel free to consult Mr Bird via Ouija or Mr Spassky via his chess
secretary c/o Hotel Loftleidr. :)

Best,

A.S.
