I think I mentioned this in a post before, but I remember using the Fidelity
thermal printer with the Champion Chess Challenger back in the 80's.  (We had a
store around here called Chafitz that had a number of chess computers out for
customers to play with.)  Anyway, I printed a game out with with the thermal
printer and the ink slowly disappeared!  I still have the (blank) printout taped
into a notebook!
