the forta a until Superforte A played lousy.

and, it is said (www.schachcomputer.info) that it had not enough piece-square
tables or whatever to KNOW where to place the pieces right.

later novag programs had this.
and of course the Super-Constellation had it. And the -Expert.

IMO Kittinger has shown with the latest machines (diamond 1-2 + SD)
that he has succesfully overtaken Lang programs and therefore dedicated
machines.

i would also say that the ELO numbers for the SD are too low.
