IMO you are wrong. the star diamond is very strong. IF this prg would be transferred 1:1 on a pc, it would be dangerous to other chess prg's. he is NOT doing it. why ?! IMO you should not think it has to do with strength that Marty hirsch or ed schroeder do not do what they always did. it is the case that also their life has changed, the living situation. and to have a TOP chess program costs living time. it cuts you time. and this is what people like Christophe, richard, Ed or Marty seem to be not willing to give anymore. IMO a very wise decision. if SD would be a weak dedicated machine, i would understand that there is no strong chess program from kittinger. but in relation to the hardware the SD is TOO strong. it is the living situation that has changed. not that these people are not good enough anymore.
