Hi Rob

assuming this is indeed the question and because i had the Excalibur GrandMaster
right in front of me when you posted the position i decided to give it a whirl

the GM does not find 1.Bxg6...! on a 1,2,3,4 or 5 ply search
it also dosent find it on the 40/2 tournament lever preferring to play Rc1
instead
i let it run for 5 minutes on the Infinite level and it comes up with...Rc1
again

2. Qxg6..was played on the 1 ply level
3.Ng5 ..also played on the 1 ply level

4.Rh8+ takes the GM a 3 ply search to find and it plays it instantly

on the 1 and 2 ply levels it plays 4.Qxf6
