A lot. Especially in comp-comp games.

Definitely! I think that the endgame is still the weakest (or less strong) part
of current chess programs.

More tablebases (if well managed) definitely make the program stronger. I do not
mean to dispute your humble opinion, you are entitled to it.

Not only that. In the case of tablebases probes in the search, the engine knows
the exact score of the leaf tablebase positions, and that definitely is a big
help.
