These type of systems have what's called
feed-back.If the imput(your move) does not
equal what the feed-back(your move
confirmed) expects then very often the
system will go to a neutral condition.
I think the Elect.system is confused.
I do not believe the machine is broken.
Find how to re-set the elect.system.
