64bit - 50 game match - Rybka vs Deep Shredder
Engines - Rybka 1.0 beta x64 vs Deep Shredder 9.12 x64
Results - Rykba +20 =14 -9 68%
Shredder +9 =14 -20 32%
Comments - An impressive performance by Rykba especially considering Shredder
had a 2-1 edge in processing power.
I chose time control 3+0 and threads=2 for Shredder to try and simulate a
common scenario on playchess.com
where a lot of dual machines play in the engine room. Rybka only supports 1
thread.
Time control - 3min + 0sec
System - Windows x64, 4gb RAM, 2 dual core AMD Opteron 275 (2.2ghz) = 4 total
cores
Interface - Chessbase GUI Fritz 9 Oct 17
Book- Perfect 9.0, option=normal
Hash - 256mb each engine
Ponder - On
Threads - Rybka=1, Deep Shredder=2
EGTB- all common 3-4-5, some 6, total about 90gb
Engine Options - Rykba - default : Shredder - default except threads=2 and
learning=off
