Odell, I wanted to apologize to you and add my final 2 cents in on the "Naming Cheaters" issue and then I will drop it. 1) I apologize for that Lone Ranger comment last night. It was late and although the comment was directed at you, it was supposed to be an observation on anyone who feels it is necessary to name a cheater on this forum. 2) I feel that naming a cheater violates the spirit of CCC rule #3: Do not contain personal and/or libelous attacks on others if not the letter of the rule. 3) The only issue that I really have is the one of naming cheaters. You'll notice that your original posting had about 8 responses until you named the cheater. Then it had dozens of responses. I guess this is just a controversial issue. 4) Maybe we should have an opinion poll question of the type: Which of the following should be the guideline for naming cheaters here at CCC? (pick one) Suspected cheaters can be named here to protect people. Confirmed cheaters (by a chess server, not just a CCC member) can be named here to protect people. Suspected cheaters should not be named. Cheaters have rights like others and should not be named. Best Regards Odell, KarinsDad :) PS.
