Here are a few results of some computers I've tested so far, I'll test get more results later. If you'd like to run this yourself just follow the instructions below. Make sure you don't have anything else running that could use your CPU enough to heavily influence the result. To run it, just run the 32/64bit exe you wish to test. Type: uci isready ucinewgame go depth 14 When it stops (it might pause starting on depth 14, let it go) it'll display a line such as this when finished: info depth 14 time 15579 nodes 3988843 nps 265922 info time 15579 nodes 3988843 nps 265922 bestmove b1c3 ponder g8f6 Make sure your nodes = 3988843. If it isn't, the hash size isn't default size or it isn't depth 14 on the starting position. ------------------------------------------------------------- Here are some of my test results so far: Nodes/sec 265922 = Athlon 64 2.85GHz 1mb L2 939 pin, 64 bit 166201 = Athlon 64 2.85GHz 1mb L2 939 pin, 32 bit 120874 = Athlon XP 2.50GHz 512k L2 32 bit 94972 = Athlon XP 2.08GHz 256k L2 32 bit I am also curious how the Pentium-M and Pentium 4 compare here.
