Come on, Andreas, this is the way this forum behave and for that purpose it exist. With every new engine strong enough not to be trashed at once, you will see a good and similar chunk of enthusiasm. Logical it is so. This is about chess engines and machines and so whathever interesting happening in the field will produce -and should- ectasis. Besides, this Rybka monster is really good and deserves the hoopla. Then, it is harmless. We are not celebrating a new bomb-suicide coming to the city, just a chess program. Suppose nothing new comes for a time and/or, if coming, almost nobody explode in sheers. In that case we die of boredom. Life needs exhilaration, exageration, drama and comedy all the time. Or we yawn. Or we become like those characters of Asimov novels, that bunch of boring scientists talking each other as a modem do. Now Rybka, tomorrow XXX, then Blincoe talking of a dedicated units with awe, then etc etc. Rybka Regards fernando
