Perhaps I'm nitpicking here, but I really do view this differently. If the Rybka
site offered chess boards and pieces, as well as other chess-related
merchandise, all of which is also offered by ICD, I'd agree with you in an
instant. This issue of a single UCI engine offered by an author is different.
IMHO. I take it therefore that you equally object to Fruit 2.2, Ktulu, and
Ruffian, and a number of other programs/engines being announced?
